I decided to turn my life around in a 90-day challenge that I set for myself. I was in a bad shape and under performing in life and business. I knew I could do so much better.
Three things that needed immediate attention were: a change in eating behavior, improvement of sleep, and more physical activity.
After doing some research, I created a set of guidelines that ultimately changed my life radically!
During my 90-day challenge, I lost 17kg of body weight. My waistline shrunk from a whopping 106cm (41.7 inches) to only 84cm (33.25 inches). Clothes size went down from extra-large to medium size.
When checking my hip-waist-ratio before the challenge, the result indicated that I was at risk of developing serious health conditions. Getting rid of all that fat, put me back at ease. Life seems to be a lot “safer” this way.
In the 5 weeks that followed, I tested a program that helped me to jog from 3.5 minutes to 20 minutes 3 times a week (and lost another 4kg). By week 7, I was running a 5k. (I don’t like running at all, mind you).
I also started various other exercises that helped me to get my fitness and strength levels from “poor” to “above average” and “good”.
It really feels phenomenal to be back in shape and I am eager to improve my fitness level further.
Following the guidelines has a profound impact on my everyday life. My energy levels are up. I am better focused. I am fired up like crazy and getting more things done. The quality of my sleep is also significantly better. I am pursuing old dreams, I am getting stronger (with new workouts which I never thought about doing before) and new business opportunities have come my way.
The results of this challenge could not have been better. It is a great example of how you can actually make a radical jump in a fairly short period of time.

I believe most people who are overweight can achieve amazing results and get back in shape. First of all: it is never too late! and second: Dare to challenge yourself and take that first step.
Maybe a 90-day challenge scares you and puts you off…, so start with a 30-day challenge or even test the waters with a one-week challenge. Once you feel and see results, it’s hard to quit!
